The 102 young musicians of the Young Peoples Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor David Ramadanoff will present a program that will include Verdi’s dramatic overture to his opera “La Forza del Destino,“ Glazunov’s Violin Concerto in A minor,  Jeremy Cavaterra’s “The Aquarium” from his “Monterey Suite” and selections from Manuel de Falla’s “The Three-Cornered Hat,” Suites 1 and 2.  Mayumi Kanagawa, violin soloist for the Glazunov Concerto, has played with the American Youth Symphony in Los Angeles and was the first-prize winner of the 2013 Jascha Heifetz Competition in Vilnius, Lithuania, as well as in the 2011 Irving M. Klein Competition in San Francisco.  She is currently studying at the Hochschule fur Musik in Berlin, Germany, and has already performed as soloist with many European orchestras.
